Copying and pasting a document

Copy, paste, cut and move document

Copy Document

If you want to copy an existing page, you can do so by right-clicking on the desired document.

Paste as child element (recursive)

Right-click where you want to insert the page. In the menu that opens, you have four options under "Paste". By clicking on "Paste as child element (recursive)" all subfolders and subpages are inserted.

If the page is inserted on the same level as the original page, it has the suffix"_copy".

Paste recursively and update references

By clicking on "Paste recursively and update references", the document is also inserted with all documents below it. In addition, changes to references (links) are updated.

If the page is inserted on the same level as the original page, it has the suffix "_copy".

Insert as child element

To insert a page without subpages and subfolders, press "Paste as child element".

If the page is inserted on the same level as the original page, it has the suffix "_copy".

Paste only contents here

If you want to copy the content of one page to another, select "Paste only contents here".

Attention: The same page type must exist here. Existing contents will be overwritten!

Paste page with inheritance

If you want the copied page to always adapt to the original document, select "Paste (inheritance)".
Inherited insertion also works with and without child elements.

This function is often used when copying between two language trees.

Move Document

To move a page, right-click on it and select "Cut". Then insert them again at the desired location.

It is easier if you drag and drop the document to the desired location.
